About the team

We are professionals in AI, embedded systems, strong backgrounds in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, and Industrial Automation. We are developing highly accurate AI models to be trained on extensive agricultural datasets and designing a scalable IoT-based sensor system. We are on incubation program for green technologies and agricultural innovations. We are passionate on sustainability and precision agriculture, solving complex challenges that benefit both Mars colonization and on Earth.

Our vision

Our vision is to have a visible fingerprint on farming by integrating AI-driven precision agriculture and real-time soil monitoring, empowering farmers with actionable insights to maximize crop yields and ensure sustainable land management. The problem we address is the inefficiency and unpredictability of traditional farming methods, which result in low productivity, soil degradation, and excessive resource usage, leading to food insecurity and economic instability in rural communities. Millions of smallholder farmers in Ethiopia and across Africa struggle with limited access to reliable soil data, scientific farming techniques, and climate-resilient agricultural solutions, making them vulnerable to erratic weather patterns and declining soil fertility. Ultimately, our vision is to create an AI-powered agricultural ecosystem that enhances productivity, reduces environmental impact, and fosters resilient rural economies, driving the transformation of Africa’s agricultural sector into a data-driven, sustainable, and profitable industry.

Our solution

Our solution is an AI-powered, embedded electronic system designed to provide real-time, data-driven recommendations for Ethiopian farmers, helping them make precise decisions on soil health, crop selection, fertilizer use, and pest management. By integrating IoT sensors, AI algorithms, and a mobile application, our system analyzes soil moisture, pH, micronutrients, macronutrients, pest behavior, and weather conditions to deliver customized recommendations that optimize crop productivity and resource efficiency. To ensure accessibility, our solution is connected to a call center, allowing farmers without smartphones to receive recommendations through SMS or voice messaging, while commercial farmers, investors, and agricultural institutions can access a user-friendly mobile app for more advanced insights. By merging cutting-edge AI with traditional farming practices, our solution enables precision agriculture at an affordable cost, increasing food security, reducing environmental degradation, and paving the way for sustainable farming in Ethiopia and beyond.
