Our vision

Vision: INSPOT envisions a future where sustainable and nutritious protein sources are readily available for poultry and aquaculture industries, while simultaneously promoting circular economy principles through organic waste upcycling. Problem Statement: The global demand for protein-rich animal feed is rapidly increasing, leading to overreliance on traditional protein sources like soy and fishmeal. These conventional sources often have significant environmental and sustainability drawbacks, including deforestation, overfishing, and greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, the increasing volume of organic waste poses a significant environmental challenge. INSPOT aims to address these issues by providing a sustainable and innovative solution. By upcycling organic waste into high-quality protein feed and organic fertilizers, INSPOT contributes to a more sustainable and resilient food system.

Our solution

Our solution involves leveraging insect-based protein production, a process for which we have established production data and figures. We've initiated a pilot project to produce our protein ingredient, 'protofeed,' and these operational insights have been integrated into our financial projections. While our current production setup is basic, it serves as a foundational step. Our R&D efforts are twofold: 1. Expanding the range of biodegradable waste materials, including lignin-based and even plastic-based waste, through biotechnological advancements. 2. Exploring the extraction of valuable components from our insect-based product for application in the cosmetics industry.
